Team Coaching is a new and burgeoning field in coaching and now recognized formally by ICF as of April 2023 when they created their new Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC). This group is for anyone who is interested in learning about- or is already practicing- team coaching.

The main purpose of this group is to explore, learn, and practice the body of knowledge on team coaching. This group is for anyone who is interested in learning about- or is already practicing- team coaching.
Key learning points, outcomes and benefits for participants:
We will:
a. Explore the expanded competencies that ICF recognizes.
b. Share elements of the coaching process from contracting to assessment to the engagement and close-out.
c. Create an environment to learn from others, as we invite diverse guest speakers.
d. Engage experiential learning through simulation, practice, and developing team coaching processes.
e. Expand our approach for growing our team coaching opportunities by how we enlist teams, people, to engage clients, sponsors, etc.
f. Research team assessments and their value/challenges with teams.
g. Partner to discuss co-coaching: when, why, roles, benefits, and importance.
h. Learn the ingredients for a psychologically safe and inclusive environment for teams to increase trust, alignment, and performance.
Experiential Learning Through:
We will host demonstrations, discuss case studies, have coach simulations, and create opportunities to practice skills. We will explore putting our own assessments together. Additionally, we will have time for group sharing about questions or concerns that participants have about team coaching.
We will share resources and encourage ongoing conversation in a Basecamp group.
Meeting Logistics:
The group is designed for a group size of 7-15 participants.
Facilitators:
Nancy Benthien, M.S., PCC is a Managing Partner at Culture Innovations, LLC where she primarily (but not exclusively) works with leaders in Scientific, Technical, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) areas to create high performing organizations and more engaged workforces. Nancy is a certified business coach through Columbia University and has been a consultant and coach for over a decade. She has also obtained her Professional Certified Coach credentials through the International Coach Federation (ICF). Nancy is a Master-level certified practitioner of 6 Team Conditions’ Team Diagnostic Survey. She recently completed an ICF-accredited course in Team coaching and expects to receive her ICF credential (ACTC) in team coaching by the end of 2023.
Prior to becoming a coach and consultant, she led a software development business line and headed up an organization that pursued business strategic to her employer– projects over $1 billion in size. Early in her career, Nancy worked as an exploration geoscientist. She has consulted with major O&G and Technology companies in Europe, the Middle East, North America, Asia, and Latin America, as well as Healthcare organizations in the US. Her other certifications include the Birkman, and the NBI personality assessment instruments, and three cultural assessments: Human Synergistics’ OCI/OEI Organizational Culture Index, Culture in the Workplace, and CultureActive.
Linda Rad, MSM, PCC, CPCC, ECCP, ACTC, started her own coaching and consulting practice, Envision Leadership Consulting, LLC, in 2018. Linda provides evidence-based executive and team coaching, leadership development solutions, organization development, and strategic learning solutions. Her work in leadership and team development focuses on coaching leaders and teams as they increase their human capabilities that result in greater trust, engagement, and performance. Linda engages the leader and team by enhancing their emotional intelligence skills and capacity for empathetic listening, which fuels connection and collaboration. Linda partners with others to create a firm foundation of self-awareness with a clear sense of purpose based on values and a compelling vision.
Linda’s has partnered over 25 years to coach and elevate multiple and diverse teams, including executives, new leaders, management, union, and front-line teams. Prior to starting her business, Linda led multiple teams across industries in the areas of talent and leadership development solutions and human resources. The local and global industry sectors Linda works with are varied and they navigate complex environments. They include the public sector, non-profit, tech, finance, education, engineering, utilities, manufacturing, and health care.
Linda is a certified co-active coach through the Coach Training Institute (CTI), Team and Group Coach Academy, and the Institute of Organization Development. Linda earned the is a life-long learner who works to integrate her learnings into her practice. Linda earned her BS in Human Resource Management, her MS in Organizational Leadership, and is working to complete her Doctor of Education in Organizational Development. Linda is a certified practitioner in Positive Psychology, OD Certified Professional (ODCP) Everything DiSC, the EQi 2.0 and EQi 360, Korn Ferry (KF) Lominger Leadership Architect, KF360 for individuals and teams. Linda uses Lencioni’s work on trust and Clutterbuck’s PERILL assessment for teams. She’s also trained in mediation, interest-based problem solving and labor negotiations.
The International Coach Federation created their Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC) in April 2023 and Linda obtained her certification in August of 2023.
